Top 5 Must Haves: New Internet Entrepreneur

Your time. All of it.

Not just to become your own boss, get your whole family to live onsite, buy your first house, anything. But, when the first day comes you’ve got to understand freedom is a moving target, so it’s not like it is forever. And no matter what happens, a new entrepreneur has to start somewhere.marketing

Let’s say you’re first on free to quit your job on Friday and start to plan and implement your online business. Which at first may sound great to you but after a week or two you may feel like it’s time to pull the plug. So when you get to Monday you need to put all the pieces in place or forget what you’re doing and start again, week after week.

So what are the top 5 things to must do to make your business vibrant, to make it successful, and to help you stay there for years to come.

#1. Do not dump your current network of friends and family. That is until you feel confident that your business is an actual business that you can take seriously.

#2. Do not stick with someone until you feel comfortable that the leader has your back. You have to be able to think on your feet because you are your business, your baby and everything falls on you. You will have a lot of friends and family and will have to be able to work with them and build a relationship with them.

#3. Do not simply quit your day job! By all means, keep that steady full-time income. I had to do just that. Or if you have an established day job, do not stop there, create another income stream through the business you are running. I had no choice. I did sacrifice my time, but it was a crucial step for all of my success.

And don’t listen to the laypeople on this topic! They will tell you the pitfalls and the barriers and you will have to jump over them. Which are a bunch of mistakes to avoid. So if you can jump over the hurdles, all the better and you will. But first key skills have to be learnt, such as website development, SEO Agency type skills and digital marketing.

#3 Products are  the beginning and the end. I have been a business coach for many years and I know if you have a product or service that you can actually believe in and would like to share with others, the road to success is going to be many times more sidewalk to exhibit at territory allows but alone, you will use up your daily allowance faster than you can even imagine.

#4. Never, ever quit! Don’t count on anyone else. You have to learn to make it happen. I’m still trying to figure out if I really need to do them in the first place, although I’m absolutely convinced I do not. But I do day 1 of creating this business and will need my to-do list right at the top of every day that I’m in the house, just from breaking my desk. So I made that list and I show up, just to say…

#5. Do not let anyone steal your dream.  And you should not have to make yourself pay anything for that dream. If something is too hard and can’t be completed and/or everyone else’s dream is for you to have, don’t let anyone steal them. And if you are not allowed to do it for anyone else you would have too, why do you need to give your dream away.

Focus on positive actions only, if it is meant for you, it will be.
